[ apollo justice is fine. he's busy scoping out the area, checking out all three of the new biomes and while he's no longer dressed in his suit (swapping for jeans, a t-shirt, and a jacket with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows) he's not exactly the epitome of "relaxed."

unlike netzach, apparently, given that the man is stretched out on a bit of green of the mini golf course. apollo stops in his tracks, looking down at him for a moment with a raised eyebrow. ]

... how is that comfortable.

It's not so bad. Kinda soft, I think?

[he can't entirely tell, is the thing... one hand brushes over the fake turf.]

You... think? [ why is this a "think." he's watching him touch the astroturf and narrowing his eyes a little. ] Most people would find it scratchy.

It's not as hard as tile, though, or the sidewalk...

Are you used to laying on the ground? [ why are these your frames of reference. ]

Pretty much. Usually if I'm laying anywhere, it's on the department floor.

Does... your department not have a couch?

What would they do that for? They want everybody working.

But how can you be working if you're laying on the floor?

I never said I was trying to work. But that's why there's no way they'd put in a couch.

... if you're not trying to work, then why are you there? [ he has so many questions actually. ]

week 2, monday

[ if he comes back hours later from where netzach originally flopped, is he going to find him still laying there? this is a serious question. ]

He's just as bad as Mr. Wright sometimes. ]

There has to be more comfortable places than the ground.

Not really... most spots feel about the same, man.

Even if you can't tell the difference, there has to be better places. Has anybody shown you the cabins yet? [ at least lay in a bed, man. ]

Mm... somebody said I should find one and get out of the way.

[this is, in fact, part of the reason why he's still right where he is.]

So... what happened to doing that?

I don't have to. So I don't really feel like doing it.

What makes you so sure you don't have to?

What are they gonna do if I don't? Kill me?

Who knows? I just thought maybe you'd have a reason.

...spite, I guess. I don't need a room or a bed anyway... and I don't like taking orders.

unfortunately apollo understands spite because sometimes he does things the way he does solely out of spite, too. ]

So what about if it was a suggestion instead of an order? Some people would say you don't need something in order to have it anyway. [ also he thinks everyone needs shelter, AI or not, but whatever. ]

I'll think about it later. Don't really feel like going anywhere.

You will when the tide comes in and the ocean drags you off the sand. [ that is not entirely true. ]

Ever. The facility I was made for is underground, and nobody ever leaves, so... you know.
